The Evernorth Care Group Patient Access Center Team: local, experienced, and ready to help!
Our 58-member Patient Access Center (PAC) team supports customers and connects them to the right care at the right place at the right time.
Here’s are just some of their responsibilities:
Appointments: Appointment scheduling for primary care and dermatology at Evernorth Care Group’s 18 locations. Plus, support for scheduling appointments earlier if needed with a nurse practitioner.
New patient appointments: Scheduling appointments for new patients includes a pre-visit phone call with a medical assistant to document medications, family history, medical/surgical history, and specialist information.
Doctor and specialist referrals: Doctor referrals to a preferred Evernorth Care Group location. And our referral team contacts customers with the specialist referral information.
Nurse triage: Warm transfers to registered nurses for customers who call in with urgent symptoms and need immediate treatment.
Pharmacy delivery: Education about Evernorth Care Group pharmacies that offer same-day and next-day delivery, as well as Express Scripts Pharmacy by Evernorth®, which delivers 30- and 90-day fills of maintenance medications to their homes.
MyChart sign-ups: Support with creating and navigating a MyChart account.
Insurance verification: Help with verifying whether customers’ health plans are in-network to avoid surprise out-of-network costs. Evernorth Care Group is in-network with Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, Devoted Health, Wellcare, SCAN, and Medicare. Our contracted health plans are listed on our website.
Bilingual representatives: Connecting bilingual customers with certified Spanish-speaking representatives and other languages as needed.
