Save time with MyChart eCheck-In
Arriving early for your doctor’s appointment to fill out paperwork isn’t always convenient. But with MyChart eCheck-In, checking in ahead of your appointment has never been easier.
A simple-to-use tool, eCheck-In is accessible right from your smartphone, allowing you to:
- Manage upcoming appointments
- Fill out health history questionnaires
- Upload your insurance coverage
- Pay copays and balances
- Select your preferred pharmacy, and
- Set reasons for your visit prior to your appointment
Here’s how to use MyChart’s eCheck-In feature for your next appointment:
First, check your email for an appointment reminder
If you do not have a MyChart account, you will receive an appointment reminder email on the day of your visit with a link to complete eCheck-In. If you do have a MyChart account, you will see the appointment reminder notification along with the option to complete eCheck-In on your MyChart home page.
Verify your identity and personal information
Once you open the link, you will be asked you to verify your identity. This step ensures your health information stays secure and accessible only to you. Provide the information you are prompted to enter (e.g., your date of birth, etc.). Then, confirm your preferred contact information to receive communications about your upcoming visit.
Provide your insurance and payment information
With eCheck-In, you can also upload your insurance card to your patient profile so you and your provider both have access to your coverage details. If you have a balance or copay amount you would like to pay, you will also have the option to complete a payment using your credit or debit card.
Update current medications and fill out questionnaires
Document any prescriptions you are currently taking and provide health history information that your doctor will want to know prior to your visit. Recording this information is important and can take time. Checking in online allows you to complete this step from the comfort of home instead of doing so in a waiting room or during the visit itself.
Sign consent forms
The last step you are prompted to do during eCheck-In is to sign informed consent to share your health information with your health care provider. Once this step is completed, click submit to finish your eCheck-In.
After you have completed the online check-in process, arriving for your appointment will be a breeze.
If you don’t have a MyChart account, creating one will allow you to keep the information you’ve just entered on file for your next appointment.
Schedule your next appointment with Evernorth Care Group online or call 800.233.3264 and be sure to follow the above steps to check in online.
