Matt is Senior Vice President of Evernorth Accountable Care and Evernorth Payer Solutions businesses. He is leading Evernorth Health Service’s development and growth of value-based care models, including the curation of a network of high-performing providers, as well as comprehensive, flexible solutions that enable providers and payers to deliver greater value and affordability.

Under Matt’s leadership, these businesses increase access to high-quality care, improve health outcomes, simplify the experience for patients and providers, and help clients and providers drive value and affordability.

Matt has 20 years of experience in health care and is a proven leader in the creation and execution of innovative strategies that bring differentiated value for clients, patients, and providers. He previously led Cigna's Pharmacy business where he was responsible for leading the strategic direction and growth for the organization. He has also held various leadership roles within Express Scripts, including Chief Pricing Officer, Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Anthem division, and Vice President of Specialty Pharmacy where he was responsible for the strategy, execution and growth of the Specialty Pharmacy and Medical lines of business. Prior to joining Express Scripts, Matt held multiple leadership positions at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), including as Vice President of PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions.

Matt currently serves on the Board of Directors at Loyola Academy of St. Louis and the Churchill Center and School in St. Louis.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University, an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in accounting from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. He is also a licensed pharmacist and a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.
