Dr. Zelis serves as Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, an Evernorth company, and one of the nation’s leading telehealth providers. A board-certified family physician, Dr. Zelis has demonstrated across numerous roles within health systems the ability to impact health care transformation through physician collaboration, change management and innovative technology development.
Just prior to MDLIVE, Dr. Zelis served as the VP of Ambulatory Operations and Telehealth at University Hospitals in Cleveland, where she was the strategic and operational lead for more than 50 ambulatory health centers and telehealth across the system. While at University Hospitals, Dr. Zelis increased telehealth volumes by more than 80 percent and oversaw the foundational work to support its additional exponential growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been recognized numerous times as a “Top Doctor,” as well as one of University Hospitals distinguished physicians.
Dr. Zelis earned her Medical Degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and Health Care MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
