About
Maggie Williams, MD is the Medical Director for Virtual Primary Care at MDLIVE, leading the national effort to make health care accessible, transparent, and affordable. Dr. Williams received her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. She completed residency at Stanford-O’Connor Family Medicine Residency and has dual board certification in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She holds Plant Based Nutrition certification from Cornell University and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Prior to joining MDLIVE in 2018, Dr. Williams practiced family medicine for nearly 15 years at Duke Health, Stanford Children's Hospital and Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Her practice focuses on reversal of chronic disease, women’s health and pediatrics. Her leadership positions focus on quality improvement programs, with an emphasis on transparency, in multiple settings. Her clinical research at Stanford University focused on gynecology and urology. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, ranging from resource-rich to rural. Her present work focuses on digital solutions to lifestyle modifications and behavior change, key to reversal of chronic disease.
