Mr. Mager’s pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research has always been about providing relevant and statistically rigorous findings that help decision makers in the pharmacy benefit and managed care arenas make informed and sound decisions. His findings have shed light on the effect of pharmacy benefit programs on cost and utilization for both the member and the payer.
Mr. Mager has over 20 years’ experience evaluating prescription use behavior and the programs and policies that impact it. He has also been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA, Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy and Pediatrics.
On a personal level, Doug enjoys spending time with his wife, Chris and their two sons, 17-year-old Kyle and 15-year-old Evan. Many weekends are spent watching Kyle and Evan’s baseball and hockey games.
